GPSR Information

The GPSR (General Product Safety Regulations) is a regulation on general product safety of the EU for product safety. You can find it HERE.
In accordance with the EU General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR), we ensure that all our books and publications meet the safety standards.

Risk evaluation
All our products undergo an internal risk analysis.

Documentation
The documentation of the risk analysis is physically available for 10 years and can be made available on request.

Safety relevant features
Books and print publications without supplements or additional functions do not generally pose a risk to the health or safety of consumers. Such products are therefore exempt from the obligation to include additional safety information under Article 9(7) of the GPSR Regulation. However, if you have any questions about a product, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Unique identification / labeling
Thanks to the unique ISBN (International Standard Book Number) or ISSN (International Standard Serial Number), each book / journal has a unique label with the necessary information for identification.

Security information
According to Article 9 (7) of the GPSR Regulation, no additional safety information is required for printed publications that do not contain supplements or special features. However, if a book contains any additions that require special precautions, these will be clearly indicated.

Wire-stitched products may cause stitch injuries.

Printed products may have a slight odor that is harmless to health.

Paper and printed products can burn. We recommend reading at best in front of an open fire or embers (fireplace, candle, …) and keeping an appropriate safety distance (perhaps 10 meters), never under or over fire/embers/current. We also do not recommend storing the products in closed rooms where there is electricity or fire/glowing embers without constant supervision.

Of course, you can cut your finger on paper, but parents should give their children these everyday risks as they grow up. Similarly, books are not suitable for consumption either cooked or raw. Accordingly, you can trip over a ribbon marker or break a fingernail on the cover, etc. Thinking helps.

By the way, about the actual content: words always harbor the great danger of opening up new content, thoughts and worlds… probably the greatest danger… but that’s not really the point, I think.

If you still have safety concerns or questions, please contact us.
