Description
Arztpraxen [Doctor’s practices]
The contemporary architecture and interior design of medical practices is shown in this volume in 59 exemplary, contemporary examples from Germany, Austria and Switzerland: First and foremost, of course, a modern practice must meet functional requirements. Beyond that, the variety of possibilities becomes clear in this richly illustrated book. The extended requirements can include a special ambience that appeals to the patient group, a specific floor plan solution that results from the respective therapy, or an unusual scenography in the waiting area that picks up on the historical environment or the history of the ordination. 545 photographs and plans illustrate the extensive texts, which show how the respective individual prerequisites led to the unique solutions in an exemplary manner. In the introduction, general conditions and the history of the building type are explained.
